I grew up riding my bike to soccer practice, swimming at the neighborhood pool, and ate pretty well thanks to my amazing mom who worked full time. I never remember not liking vegetables. Well, except brussell sprouts and asparagus as a kid. The smell of them boiling on the stove, gross. Now I love them roasted and seasoned just right:) I played sports in high school, skied a lot in college, and got into triathlons, running, and biking as a young adult.
I married a handsome young man named Mark in 2005. I went through the miraculous phases of growing and birthing four babies (one of those beauties has gone through a lot of medical issues including stage 4 cancer). Over the past 15 years I’ve become more and more interested in how we often know what we should be doing or eating, but don’t do it. Why? That curiosity, and my own life experiences including having thyroid issues and losing a parent to addiction, led me to becoming a certified integrative nutrition health coach.
